*****WINTER WEATHER PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE REMINDER*****

The weather forecast for tonight and early tomorrow morning (01/06/2022-01/07/2022) is reporting freezing temperatures (32 degrees and below)! This is a reminder to prepare your home for these temperatures by doing minor preventative maintenance. 

Keep your heat running even when you are not home. 

Keep your kitchen and tub faucets dripping during the night. 

Keep the cabinet doors open, this helps the heat inside the house circulate to the plumbing. 

Outside faucets MUST to be insulated as well. You can find faucet covers at any hardware store, grocery store or stores such as Target, K-Mart & Wal-Mart. Remove any hoses and store them for winter. Please turn the water valves for the exterior faucets to the off position and drain the line before installing covers.  All irrigation systems must be shut off. 

Do you know where your main water cut off is to your house? The water cut off is typically at your water meter near the street and will require a pair of pliers to turn off. We have emergency maintenance but it may take a while for someone to get to you. If a pipe bursts you will be able to minimize damage if you are able to cut off the water at the meter. There are also water cut offs for each sink and toilet, generally located below each. 

We also recommend that you check to ensure that your renters insurance policy is up to date!
